Objectives

Over the course of twelve (12) hours, the learner will be able to:

  • Understand the key concepts and principles of Lean Six Sigma in healthcare technology.
  • Identify and prioritize pain points in healthcare processes, develop a SIPOC map, and create a project charter for a Lean Six Sigma project in healthcare technology.
  • Select and use appropriate data collection methods, analyze data using Excel-based statistical tools, and determine process capability and stability for healthcare technology processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis, use statistical analysis tools in Excel, and conduct hypothesis testing for healthcare technology process improvement.
  • Generate and implement solutions for healthcare technology process improvement, apply Lean principles and techniques, and conduct rapid cycle improvements using the 5S methodology.
  • Implement control measures, monitor KPIs, and sustain improvements in healthcare technology processes, understand Lean Six Sigma certification paths and requirements, and effectively manage team motivation and engagement for successful project handoff.

For virtual training courses, we request that you register at least one week in advance of the course start date to allow sufficient time for shipping of training materials and devices (Please allow two weeks for non-U.S. addresses). If you register within these time frames, AAMI cannot guarantee you will receive material prior to the start of the course but you will have access to digital versions of the materials.
