This award is presented annually to a professional under the age of 40 who exhibits exemplary professional accomplishments and a commitment to the healthcare profession.

Criteria

Candidates must demonstrate:

Employment in the healthcare field of three years or more.
A commitment to the advancement of the profession by writing articles, participating on professional committees, and/or speaking at industry events.
A commitment to being a positive role model for the profession and peers.

Candidates should demonstrate:

Specific professional examples of leadership.
Important personal traits such as integrity, professionalism, creativity, and leadership.
Involvement with AAMI and/or other local or state organizations.

Additional Information

Nominees may not be self-nominated for this award. Individuals may be nominated for this award in consecutive years, but must submit an original application each time.

Entries for the AAMI Young Professional of the Year Award must include:

Nominator’s cover letter that provides a rationale statement describing the nominee’s exemplary professional accomplishments and dedication to the health technology profession, highlighting published work and committee involvement.
This completed Young Professional of the Year Award nomination form.
A current CV/Resume for the nominee
One or more letters of recommendation from the past year supporting this nomination from supervisors, colleagues, and industry partners.
