The Michael J. Miller Scholarship Program
Each year, the AAMI Foundation awards the Michael J. Miller Scholarship to students aspiring to become biomedical equipment technicians, clinical engineers, and health systems engineers. These scholarships expand access to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, technical aptitude, and a commitment to healthcare technology and patient safety.
In 2023, the AAMI Foundation will award at least six, $3,000 scholarships:
- Five scholarships will be awarded to students studying to become biomedical equipment technicians or health technology specific engineering, including clinical engineering.
- One scholarship will be awarded to an individual studying to become a health system engineer through a joint effort between the AAMI Foundation and the Health Systems Engineering Association (HSEA)
In addition to the $3,000, recipients will receive complimentary registration, travel, and accommodations to attend the AAMI Exchange in Long Beach, CA.
