Committee Central 2021 Update Training Resources
All AAMI Standards Committees and Working groups are now on the New Committee Central platform.
In July 2021, AAMI launched a new platform to support the work of standards developing committees. As of today all committees have transitioned to the new platform.
This page will include resources, screencasts, demos, and quick guides that will help you understand how to complete committee tasks in the new platform.

General
Q: Where do I log into the new AAMI Committee Central?
A: You can log into the new AAMI Committee Central here. We recommend that you bookmark this page.
Q: What are my login credentials?
A: As with the old AAMI Committee Central, your username will be the email associated with your account and your password will be the password you set. If you cannot recall your password, please use the password reset option on the log in page.
Q: Why can I still see my groups in the Old Committee Central?
A: Your groups will still be available the Old Committee Central for a period of time during this transition. However, no new work will be posted on the old platform. All new work items will be on the New Committee Central (standards.aami.org)
Q: Why I don’t see my groups on the site?
A: Are you logging into standards.aami.org? You cannot log into the New Committee Central from AAMI.org, it is a separate site. Please use the link at the top of this page to find the correct log in.
Voting & Comments
Q: How do I access my ballots?
A: We have a few resources that you can refer to for instruction: there is a training video available on the landing page when you log into your new AAMI Committee Central account, there is a training video available here on our training web page.
Q: How do I cast or change a vote?
A: Comprehensive instruction on how to cast a vote can be found in the training video on the landing page when you log into the new AAMI Committee Central, the video is also available here, and there is information in this training document.
Q: Why can’t I vote on an open ballot?
A: It may be the case that another voter from your company or organization has already voted. Please check with them. If nobody from your organization has voted, please reach out to the AAMI Standards staff liaison for your group.
Q: How do I work on the Voter Comments Spreadsheet?
A: You must download the spreadsheet, work on it offline, then upload it when you are ready. More information on this can be found in the training video on the landing page when you log into the new AAMI Committee Central, the video is also available here, and there is information in this training document.
Q: If I use the spreadsheet, where do my comments go?
A: Once properly uploaded, the comments will populate into the comments fields on the voting page. IF they are not populating, it is likely that the spreadsheet was not properly filled out. More information on this can be found in the training video on the landing page when you log into the new AAMI Committee Central, the video is also available here, and there is information in this training document.
Q: How can I access comments?
A: If the ballot in question is still open, you can access your own comments by going into the voter task. If the ballot is closed, you can refer to the voter comments spreadsheet (if you uploaded one). AAMI staff admin will compile comments submitted by group members into a document after the close of the ballot. The compilation of comments will be made available to group members.

Q: When I vote/upload comments how does it know they are mine?
A: In order to vote or upload comments you must be logged into your Committee Central account, as such, your submission are automatically linked to your information.
Q: Can I use formatted text in my ballot comments?
A: Formatted text (fonts, highlighting, bolding, etc.) can be entered by using the Voters Comment Spreadsheet. However, it cannot be entered into the voters comment fields on the voting page.
Q: How can I include an image/figure/table in my comment?
A: Images, figures, and tables can be uploaded by using the Voters Comment Spreadsheet and inserting them into the “proposed change” column.
Q: How do I know if my vote was saved or went through?
A: If you go back to the landing page, and re-enter the ballot, you should see your comments saved in the comments fields.
Q: How do I know if my comments were uploaded from the spreadsheet?
A: If you enter the ballot, you should see your comments filled out in the comments fields.
Q: Why is there no option to submit my vote?
A: There is no final submit button, the vote you have saved on the day the ballot closes will be cast as your vote. This way you can change your vote in the system or edit your comments up until the ballot is due.

Q: How do I access my documents?

Q: How do I see who is on my committee or working group?
A: You can see the groups roster by navigating to the groups landing page and going to the overview tab.
Meetings
Q: How will I know when my group has a meeting?
A: You will be notified by email. This notification may come from the New Committee Central, our event registration system, or in the form of an email from the AAMI Standards staff liaison who manages the group.
Landing Page
Q: What is the Enterprise folder on my landing page?
A: The "Enterprise" Workspace is the entire organization's shared folder structure. This allows the Voters to browse to the Groups folder within the organization's shared structure. This also allows the Voters to browse to the Voters Comment Spreadsheet which is located within the Administration folder.
Q: What is the “(email) home” folder on my landing page?
A: The folder titled "(email) Home" is the Personal Workspace available for each user. The Personal Workspace allows users to store documents for their access only.
Q: Why can I not see all of the text in a window/why is the text so small?
A: This has to do with the zoom on your browser. How to change this setting will depend on your browser type. For example, in Chrome, this can be changed by going to the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of the page and zooming in or out.
