There's strength in diversity, and AAMI provides you access to ideas and information from many disciplines. Your fellow members include biomedical and clinical engineers; consultants; materials/purchasing/supply specialists; technology managers; physicians; nurses; quality assurance professionals; regulatory affairs managers; and representatives from manufacturing corporations, hospitals, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and others who place patient safety and quality healthcare as the highest priority.

AAMI offers multidisciplinary programs that enhance the ability of healthcare professionals, healthcare institutions, and the medical device industry to understand, develop, manage, and use medical instrumentation and related technologies safely and effectively. AAMI's benefits, services, and products help its members to stay informed on new technology and policy developments, to improve personal skills, and to ultimately enhance patient safety.
