Some of the topics presented in the past are:

  • Managing EMC in the Healthcare Environment - why it's critical and necessary, for introducing new wireless devices and systems into the environment.
  • Managing Wireless Systems for the Achievement of Electromagnetic Compatibility
  • RF Surveys as an EMC Management Tool - why they are important, what should they contain, and how to perform them.
  • Centers on Telemetry and wireless systems
  • Spectrum Analyzers - how to use one effectively for detecting environment RF Interference.
  • Setting Up An EMC Program in Your Institution - where to start, who should be involved and what their roles should be.
  • Conducted Interference (Ultrasound) - How Ultrasound artifacts occur, resulting from conducted interference, the art of troubleshooting conducted interference, identify and eliminate it.
Travel Paid travel expenses are not required, or a speaking fee. Scheduling must be done as far in advance as possible, due to work travel. Acceptance is dependent on any Philips budget restrictions in effect at the time. Presentations may be centered around Philips equipment, since case histories involve Philips products. However, these presentations are educational and applicable to most hospital environments and/or systems/devices. The intent is to educate, not to sell.
