| Biography | Tim Gee is principal and founder of Medical Connectivity Consulting (MCC) ( http://www.medicalconnectivity.com). Tim's practice revolves around workflow automation through the integration of medical devices with information systems, and enabling technologies. MCC provides strategy development, business planning, business development, process optimization, technology selection and product management for vendors serving ambulatory and acute care providers. Needs assessment, solution specification, process reengineering and vendor selection represents MCC s services for health care providers. MCC serves providers and vendors, including: ACIST/Bracco Diagnostics, Ascom, Biotronik, Capsule Technologie, Cardinal Health, Ekahau, Emergin, GE Healthcare, Intel Digital Health, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Welch Allyn and others. Tim brings 25 years of experience with care delivery processes, therapeutic and diagnostic modalities in most clinical areas to e-health connectivity between physicians, hospitals and payors. Areas of expertise include wireless enablement, requirements elicitation, regulatory compliance for combination products, connectivity, interoperability, diagnostic and point of care workflows, and patient flow optimization. Tim speaks frequently at industry conferences and corporate events. Over the past year he has spoken at the AAMI 2007 Conference, Healthcare Unbound, HCMDSS/MD PnP Workshop, Collegiate Entrepreneurship Venture Forum, Remote Service Infrastructure conference, and Optimizing Observation Patient Management conference. Prior to founding MCC, Tim worked for medical device, health care IT and wireless vendors, including: Philips Medical Systems, Welch Allyn, e-health connectivity startup Pointshare, AT&T Wireless, Corometrics and Baxter Systems Division. Tim is on the editorial advisory boards of MX and Patient Safety and Quality Healthcare magazines, and publishes the blog Medical Connectivity. He also participates in the IHE Patient Care Device domain and is an advisor to a number of early stage companies. |
