| Biography | Emanuel Furst, PhD, CCE, President, Improvement Technologies, LLC, has over 20 years experience managing clinical engineering and six years of experience in healthcare consulting. He is author of Outsourcing Or Insourcing: Securing A Successful Clinical Engineering Program; coauthor of e-Essentials: EC Knowledge and Assessment and Clinical Engineering Improvement Tools (CEIT), and a contributing editor of Facilities Engineering Improvement Tools (FEIT). His healthcare consulting includes JCAHO Environment of Care standards and clinical engineering management. He has been active in AAMI, ASHE, and IEEE, and has served on the Board of Directors and as committee chairperson at AAMI, and was an associate editor for the IEEE. He has written or delivered over 70 papers and presentations. Manny has received several awards for professional activities and publications. |
