Biography

Stanley M. Finkelstein is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Division of Health Informatics, University of Minnesota. He is a member of the Graduate Faculties of Biomedical Engineering, Biophysical Sciences and Medical Physics, and Health Informatics, and was Director of Graduate Studies for the Biomedical Engineering and Health Informatics graduate programs for many years. He is the Director of the Schmitt Center for Home Telehealth.

He was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine.

His interests are in the areas of patient home monitoring in chronic disease, telemedicine, medical informatics, and vascular compliance. Dr. Finkelstein is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
