Safety of Medical Electrical Equipment and Systems

Paul D. Evers is a Staff Engineer for the Health Sciences Business Unit. He has worked for UL for a total of 20 years and served in many different positions at the company.

Paul presently works in the Health Sciences Business Unit performing product evaluations, reviewing the work of other project handlers, and teaching courses at private and public seminars.

Paul has worked as a product safety engineer in the High Tech, Appliance, and Tool industries. He has served on the Safety of Telephone Equipment standards development committee over the years.

Additionally, Paul worked for eight years outside of UL as a product safety engineer serving as an agent for manufacturers of high tech equipment for shipment to the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Since 1983, Paul has been a registered electrical contractor in Florida. He began his work as an electrician at a young age, working for his father. He continues his involvement with electricians by attending courses on a regular basis.

Paul holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from the University of South Florida and he attended the United States Air Force Academy.
