This new resource is designed to help healthcare facilities stay in a constant state of compliance with the Joint Commission’s Environment of Care standards and survey process. The CD features informational resources and self-assessment tools focused on specific components of the Joint Commission's Environment of Care model.
This CD includes:
- 13 checklists designed to maintain staff knowledge of critical areas such as general safety, ergonomics, medical equipment management, security, hazardous materials and wastes, fire safety, emergency preparedness, sentinel events, and more
- Each checklist is accompanied by expert tips for practical application of concepts, special cautions, and references for additional information.
- The checklists and accompanying materials are easily edited, allowing users to customize the product’s information to fit their facility’s unique issues and priorities.
The CD was developed by Emanuel Furst, PhD, CCE, president of Improvement Technologies, LLC and C. Roger Camplin — president of the Camplin, Bartels and Associates survey consulting firm and a former JCAHO faculty member and staff engineer.
