The BI&T (Biomedical Instrumentation & Technology) Editorial Board also has selected its award winners for their 2012 articles.

Jeff Kabachinski, director of technical development at ARAMARK Healthcare Technologies, for his column "The Broad Impact of EHR Implementation."

Maria Cvach, assistant director of nursing at Johns Hopkins Hospital, for her research paper "Monitor Alarm Fatigue: An Integrative Review."

Richard Swim, manager of clinical technology at Baylor Health Care System, for his article "Keeping Data Secure: Protected Health Information and Medical Equipment."
Finally, the Technology Management Council selected the winner of the "Bright Ideas" award: the Clinical Engineering Department at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA. The department won for its partnership with a local college to solve a staff shortage problem. An article about that collaboration appeared in BI&T.
