Whether you are a first-time attendee of the AAMI Annual Conference, or a veteran like me with a collection of tote bags and giveaways, I'm confident that you will go home saying this conference was the best you have ever attended.

Nothing will boost your professional growth like the AAMI conference. With our beautiful coastal location in mind, I encourage you to dive into this conference like a surfer catching a big wave. You will enjoy a multitude of returns: answers from George Mills of The Joint Commission; practical tips that would cost thousands of dollars from a consultant; solutions to vexing problems; the latest from industry; and a bigger network of colleagues to support you when you have questions or challenges, or need a job.

AAMI isn't an enterprise, and it's not a club. It's a community—your community. AAMI staff, exhibitors, speakers, and conference planners provide the support and tools you may need. You create the amazing experience that only happens by coming together in this venue.

Thanks for making the effort to get here and for spending your weekend with us. Do stop to chat with me and my staff colleagues. If we miss you, find us on LinkedIn! Also, if you are attending and want to tweet about your experience, our hashtag is #AAMI2013.

Finally, I hope to see you at the next AAMI Annual Conference in Philadelphia, which is scheduled for May 31–June 2, 2014.
