RSS Feed RSS Feed

News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content—in AAMI's case, news articles. You can get the latest headlines in one place, as soon as they're published.

Feeds are also known as RSS or 'Really Simple Syndication'. The feeds themselves are just web pages, designed to be read by computers rather than people.

News from AAMI is available through an RSS feed using a technology called XML to deliver headlines and summaries to your desktop or Web browser.

To use RSS, click on the button and copy the feed address and paste it into an RSS news reader or use a browser that supports RSS feeds. [feed address is http://www.aami.org/rss.xml]

How to Subscribe to a Feed

If you click on the RSS button, you can subscribe to the feed in various ways, including by dragging the URL of the feed into your news reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader. Or simply click on the subscribe link.

After you subscribe, browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer (IE), Opera and Safari, automatically check for feeds for you when you visit a website, and display an icon when they find one. This can make subscribing to feeds much easier. For more details on these, please check their websites.

How to View Subscribed Feeds

When you subscribe to an RSS feed, you set the interval at which your browser will check the website for updates. Once you've set an interval, your browser will automatically download the most up-to-date web feed list.

To view on IE, for example, go to the Feeds tab by clicking on the Favorites Center button (yellow star on tool bar), and then click feeds.
