Organizations Pledge Support for
Healthcare Technology Management Week


Several national and local healthcare organizations have joined AAMI in support of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Week 2013.

HTM Week PosterThis annual celebration, which will be held May 19–25, 2013, is designed to raise awareness and show appreciation for the critical work of HTM professionals, including biomedical equipment technicians, clinical engineers, imaging specialists, laboratory equipment specialists, and others who promote patient safety and reduce healthcare costs.

The organizations that have signed on as supporting partners for Healthcare Technology Management Week 2013 include:

  • Gateway Biomedical Society
  • Georgia Biomedical Instrumentation Society
  • Healthcare Technology Foundation

  • South Florida Association for Medical Instrumentation
  • Washington State Biomedical Association

“Each year, healthcare organizations join together in supporting this fun, but important celebration,” says AAMI President Mary Logan. “It’s a great time to stop, reflect, and thank the people who manage healthcare technology for their outstanding contributions.”

Each weekday during HTM Week 2013, AAMI and its Technology Management Council (TMC) will hold a special event or recognition in honor of the celebration. Details on these events will be announced soon.
