‘Virtual’ Town Hall to Explore the Role of Middleware in Technology Integration

The first virtual town hall meeting of 2013 presented by the CE-IT Community is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25, at 12:00 Noon Eastern. You can register here for the complimentary 90-minute session, which will explore the role of middleware in technology integration.

The Feb. 25 town hall will feature presentations by Monroe Pattillo of Practical Health Interoperability, LLC; Jim Anderson of SSM Integrated Health Technologies; Lauren Weigand of iSirona; and John McHutcheon of Capsule Tech.

The session will help attendees better understand what middleware is, its role, and what facilities need to do to be successful—regardless of the middleware vendor selected.

The CE-IT Community is a collaboration among AAMI, ACCE, and HIMSS. Previous town halls have covered medical device security, wireless issues, MDDS & IEC 80001, mHealth, connectivity with physiologic monitors, interdepartmental collaboration, human factors, and more.
