AAMI Seeks to Bring Clarity, Cooperation to Equipment Supportability Issues
AAMI has launched an effort to bring healthcare technology management (HTM) professionals and equipment manufacturers together to discuss and explore solutions to the challenges involving access to service manuals and other healthcare technology ‘supportability’ issues.
Having established a task force made up of HTM professionals and manufacturer reps to tackle these challenges, AAMI created this page on its website to keep everyone informed of ongoing efforts. We started by posting several articles on the topic that were published in the Nov/Dec issue of AAMI’s journal, BI&T, and will continue to add to the page over time. The page includes a major cover story from BI&T, which you can access at this link.
Additionally, a new ‘Leading Practice’ document to provide guidance to both HTM professionals and manufacturers is in the works and will be published in 2013.
