Mobile Health ‘Revolution’ Focus of Latest Horizons


The latest edition of AAMI’s award-winning Horizons magazine explores what it will take to harness mobile health and improve patient care.

Mobile HealthThe issue—Mobile Health: The Revolution Has Started. Are You Ready?—provides in-depth research articles on the latest practices and challenges with mobile healthcare devices, as well as advice and practical tips from manufacturers, regulators, clinicians, and wireless experts.

“How are healthcare organizations implementing and adapting to the new technologies and increased mobility? How are security of information delivery, access, and patient quality of care affected?” writes Erika Hatva, managing editor of Horizons, in the opening introduction.

This edition of Horizons has the answers and covers topics such as:

  • How to connect mobile medical devices
  • Clinical perspectives of mobile health in the U.S. and abroad
  • New technologies and mHealth device and software design
  • Security and the regulatory perspective
  • The role of consumer apps in healthcare
