Understanding Cookies

Intended to improve the user experience, cookies are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer. AAMI uses cookies, as is the case with virtually all professional websites. Different cookies do different things. The different types of cookie are:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website or use a shopping cart.
  • Analytical/performance cookies – allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how they move around our website. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies – used to recognize you when you return to our website, enabling us to personalize our content.

The information below describes the cookies we use and why. If located in the European Union, by clicking “Accept” you explicitly agreed to cookies being used while browsing the site. For detailed guidance explaining what cookies are and how to control or delete them, we recommend you visit http://www.aboutcookies.org and http://www.youronlinechoices.eu
