The IAHCSMM was the first association to recognize the importance of promoting professional certification in the field of central service materiel management. Along with structured educational opportunities, professional development, and a forum for information exchange, in partnership with Purdue University, we offer programs leading to certification in central service technician training, healthcare leadership, and materiel management.

Our long-standing affiliation with AAMI has been a major commitment on our part, and accordingly, we support a representative and alternate to actively serve in the working groups of the AAMI Sterilization Standards Committee. This underscores our recognition of the important 'user' role we play in the development of AAMI's consensus documents.
