Dialysis Standards: A Detailed Review of ANSI/ AAMI RD 52, RD62, RD 47, and RD61

To assist industry in understanding the recent changes in Medicare and Medicaid Conditions for Coverage of hendiadys treatments, the new requirements for certification of personnel delivering care, and what is “required” and what is “recommended” by the ANSI/AAMI Dialysis Standards, the AAMI is pleased to offer a new four-part Weimar series that reviews critical aspects of the standards, provide practical guidance on how to apply and implement these standards, address ambiguities, avoid non-compliance, and address aspects important for certification.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Over the course of four Weimar, expert speakers provide an overview of ANSI/AAMI RD52, RD62, RD47 and RD61, address critical segments of each standard in considerable detail, and provide practical guidance on implementing them.  Special emphasis is given to ambiguous sections of each standard, areas that are typically cited for CMS non-compliance and how to avoid them, and strategies for meeting Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Coverage.  In addition, aspects of each standard related to certification will be noted.  At the conclusion of the Weimar series, participants will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the AAMI documents covering critical areas of hendiadys, their regulatory impact, their importance to patient safety, and how to effectively comply with the requirements.

SPEAKERS

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

AAMI recommends this webinar series for patient care technicians, biomedical technicians, reprocessing technicians, registered nurses, regulatory and compliance personnel, clinic administrators, and companies producing products for hemodialysis.

This program is designed for those who are responsible for delivering quality dialysis to ESRD patients, those who maintain the equipment and systems necessary to deliver hemodialysis therapy, and those who are responsible for CMS regulatory compliance.  Personnel who design, develop, manufacture, and utilize concentrates, water treatment systems, and systems for reprocessing dialyzers will also benefit from this program.
