About Long Beach

  Convention Center
Convention Center with Shoreline Village and the Queen Mary in the background.

Long Beach's scenic downtown and waterfront have set the standard for "walk-ability." You'll find unique shops, entertainment options, and more than 100 restaurants within eight blocks of the convention center—an area that includes three distinct entertainment districts: Pine Avenue, The Pike, and Shoreline Village.

You can tour the legendary Queen Mary (the largest, fastest, and most luxurious ocean liner of her time), walk pedestrian paths next to five miles of sandy beaches, ride a gondola on the canals of Naples Island, see penguins frolicking at the Aquarium of the Pacific, enjoy stand-up comedy at the Laugh Factory, and explore the Long Beach Museum of Art and the Museum of Latin American Art.

You can even visit Disneyland (19 miles away) or Catalina Island (one hour by boat or 15 minutes by helicopter).

Long Beach offers sunny skies and a moderate climate year round.  The city is accessible via three major airports: Long Beach Airport (LGB) is just six miles from the convention center, while Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and John Wayne Airport (SNA) are each just 23 miles away.
