ABOUT BALTIMORE

AAMI 2009 will be located two blocks from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the city’s center for culture, activities, dining, and entertainment—much of which is within walking distance.

  • Take a stroll along the picturesque waterfront, where you can see impromptu street performers.
  • Browse through the unique shops of Harborplace.
  • Tour the USS Constellation, the only Civil War ship still floating.
  • Visit the National Aquarium, where you’ll find sharks, dolphins, and a walk-through rain forest.
  • Explore the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum as well as the Sports Legends Museum.
  • Ride the water taxi to Fort McHenry, site of the battle that inspired the Star Spangled Banner.
  • Visit Little Italy or the historic Fells Point neighborhood for a variety of dining options.

Wherever you go in Baltimore, you’ll find elegant gourmet cuisine, ethnic foods from around the world, and plenty of fresh seafood from Maryland's Chesapeake Bay.

The convention center and hotels are a short cab ride from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), and close to Pennsylvania Station, where AMTRAK offers convenient service to cities along the northeast corridor.
