AAMI’s eForums provide a unique venue for medical technology professionals, educators to discuss issues and trends, and collaborate with colleagues who share a common goal of increasing the understanding and beneficial use of medical instrumentation.
Below you'll find a list of current AAMI eForums, including descriptions and intended audiences, followed by instructions for subscribing to the eForum(s) of your choice. To access eForums now, click here.

- Benchmarking Discussion Group
Description: This community is dedicated to subscribers of AAMI’s Benchmarking Solution — giving subscribers a forum to share ideas with, and ask questions of, fellow benchmarking subscribers — helping everyone get the most out of the tool.
Who can join: Open to subscribers of AAMI's Benchmarking Solution
- Biomed Discussion Group
Description: Discuss topics of interest to BMETs, clinical engineers, and other managers of medical technology, including technical issues, best practices, career enhancement, and more. Learn about and participate in Technology Management Council (TMC) projects and priorities.
Who can join: Open to all medical technology professionals
- Biomedical Society Leaders Discussion Group
Description: Leaders of biomedical associations discuss issues related to managing their organizations, including recruitment of members, developing quality programming for meetings, communicating with members, etc.
Who can join: Open to all biomed society leaders
- Educator's Discussion Group
Description: A resource for educators of tomorrow’s medical technology professionals, this is the place for educators to discuss the many challenges facing them—issues such as recruiting new students, budgets, accreditation programs, coursework and training materials, etc.

- Joint Commission Discussion Group
Description: Discussion and information about Joint Commission accreditation and medical technology management. How to achieve cost-effective compliance and continuous survey readiness.

- QS Connect Discussion Group
Description: Discussion and information for AAMI members about quality system topics.

Participation in discussion groups is a simple process. Please follow these steps.
- Click here to select eForums. You will be prompted to log in if you are not already logged in.
- Accept the Subscriber Agreement.
- To subscribe to an eForum, click on the link Subscribe to the forums of your choice. You will be presented with a list of AAMI eForums available to you.
- To join or leave an eForum, simply check or uncheck the box next to the forum name AND select the update list button at the bottom of the page. You may select as many as you like.
- You can select the way
you receive e-mail from an eForum. Chose the subscriptions option at the bottom of the screen and select to get emails as they are sent, one daily message, or no messages. You will not need to log in to take part in a discussion.
