Lou Schonder, CBET
2007 Award Recipient |
There are many
that have made great contributions to our profession and among them
are those that have dedicated their lives to improving the conditions
of how we receive medical care. Robert Morris was one of those individuals. For
those that did not know him, Bob could be described as one of the
clinical engineering world's pioneers, educators, developers, contributors,
adventurers, and mentors.
In honor of
Robert Morris, an award has been created to recognize individuals
whose humanitarian efforts have applied health technology to improving
global human conditions.
This award has
been initially funded by a gift from the Manuel and Beatrice Sloane
Foundation and will be permanently titled the AAMI Foundation/ ACCE
Robert L. Morris Humanitarian Award. This award includes a check
for $1,000 and an engraved plaque.
The deadline for nominations was March 25, 2008. For more information, contact Susan DeCourcey at (703) 525-4890, ext. 232 or email sdecourcey@aami.org.
